Calgary is a sparkling cosmopolitan city with a reputation for warm, Western welcomes. It’s a bustling business centre that’s also full of exciting opportunities to play.
Along with our famous hospitality, our visitors enjoy uncompromised convenience and a meeting experience they’ll remember for a lifetime. There are venues in Calgary perfect for accommodating tech-savvy, flawless meetings, conventions, tradeshows, exhibitions and conferences of all sizes. No matter what you’re planning, Calgary has an event venue to suit.
In addition to these venues, Calgary offers a range of comfortable hotels, incredible restaurants and unique activities. We think it’s the perfect mix. A little bit country. A little bit Rocky Mountain. A lot of flexibility. It’s Calgary.
Recently, Studio Bell, home of Canada’s National Music Centre (NMC) opened in Calgary’s up and coming neighborhood, the East Village. The centre gives Canada a place that amplifies the love, sharing and understanding of music. The new NMC building is a 160,000 square-foot, architecturally stunning destination. With interactive education programming, artist incubation, engaging exhibitions and performances daily, NMC’s new space will showcase the expanded collection, which, today, includes over 2,000 rare instruments and artifacts, along with the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame Collections.
Opening this coming October, the new Calgary International Airport terminal will double the size of the existing facility with nearly two million sq. ft. (which is equivalent to 34 football fields) of additional space that will be filled with light from 5,000 sq. m. of skylights.
The terminal will feature 24 new aircraft gates with room to expand to 36 gates in the future and a baggage system that has the capacity to process 4,000 bags per hour! It is also leading the way in environmental sustainability with geothermal energy to heat and cool the building, rainwater harvesting and co-generation power units.
We’re in the business of welcoming the world to Calgary.
